The bar was good, the air conditioning was good as well, the bathroom was OK, the bed was good, the TV is small but we barely use it anyways so it's fine as well, the pool is not big but it's enough to be enjoyable, plenty of parking for cars.

All of the staff that I met were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious with ample storage space. There was plenty of hot water and a good pressure in the shower. Breakfast was good with a selection of breads, hot and cold drinks, cereals, cheese, meat and scrambled eggs.

The staff were welcoming and attentive. The hotel has a swimming pool with good view, tennis court, game room... Far from the city, it is really quiet at night. but the whole hotel seems a bit old, you can hear the AC making noise at night if you use it.

Absolutely love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of this hotel. I’ve stayed at this property a number of times and have recommend it far and wide. The breakfast is basic but the food in the restaurant is very good for lunch & in the evening. It’s not a posh hotel, it’s a friendly county hotel which is excellent value for money and the views are breathtaking.

Staff were very good and pleasant, room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the beds were very hard, I had to fold up 2 blankets to put under the pillow, some cracks in the tiling in the bathroom. Area is beautiful and the Portuguese people are very nice.

We had some issues as our flight got cancelled but the staff members worked really hard to insure that we got a refund for the days we didn’t stay even though bookings.com made it difficult. The staff really went above and beyond and we were super happy because otherwise we would’ve paid for double how much we actually stayed! The pool was nice, the views were stunning and the food portions were great.

Alte is a quiet village,with interesting places to see the fonte, the water fall, good food at folklore, and baltasar, gypsy markets near by, .alte hotel is ideal for a relaxing holiday.
